If you know me, you know I am a football lover! I specifically love my home team, the New England Patriots, but I really just enjoy the game. Tomorrow is the Pats first game of the season and I (for some reason) always like to have snacks or some fun meal for game days. Is anyone else like this? All week long I eat relatively healthy but come football Sundays, give me all the nachos, wings, beers.
I am trying to really stay on track unless a special occasion calls for it, like my birthday, which I ate 3 different kinds of cakes and drank enough wine for a small village. More on that tomorrow. This weekend, I need to keep the healthy eating train on track.
So what’s a girl to do?!?!
Cauliflower Crust Pizza, I say! I have never given cauliflower crust a chance, mainly because I don’t want to ruin my favorite food. But I gave in and GUESS WHAT?!?
It was good! It was easy! AND most importantly it tasted like PIZZA! Here’s the recipe for salami, olive and jalapeno cauliflower crusted pizza! Enjoy!
What you need:
Caulipower cauliflower frozen pizza crust
Olives ( I used black, but any will do)
Hot Salami ( or any)
Pizza sauce
Thinly sliced jalapenos
Skim Mozzarella shredded cheese
Cracked pepper seasoning, I used this kind.
Olive oil for brushing
To Do:
Preheat oven t 425. Lightly brush crust with olive oil and sprinkle with seasoning. Spread pizza sauce and sprinkle as much cheese over as you would like. Place salami, olives and jalapenos on top. Bake for 13-15 minutes!
And dunzo!
It does indeed look delicious.
As for football, my favourite teams are (in order) Argonauts (I am from Canada), Notre Dame, and the Steelers.
Norte Dame is great! Not so sure about the Steelers choice 😉 just kidding
