Family Vacation Recap

Hey All!!

I hope everyone’s having a great week so far! I am excited to share some photos from my beach trip with my fam.

My mom rented a beach house almost every year when we were kids in Old Orchard Beach. With getting older and busy, these family vacations kind of took a back seat. I was so happy when we decided to being back our week visiting Old Orchard Beach, ME. I was even more excited to be able to teach my nephews, my favorite beach past times: boogie boarding & running around in the water around sunset. Hopefully we can keep this little family vacation tradition going! 🙂

First night there, we took the short drive to South Portland to visit the Saltwater Grille (check it out here). The sunset views over Portland were beautiful and the rosé & salad were both very tasty.

Being away for the week and not having to worry about traffic and making time to workout or cook or clean after a work day made it very easy to keep a positive mindset and provided lots of time to learn. I would walk or run every morning (even spotting a sweet little fox one morning) and then having coffee and reading.

The rest of the time was spent in the water or enjoying the pink haze above the ocean in the early evening. I couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful, fun time with the fam. The amount of happy on my nephews’ faces the week melted my heart.

Gavin perfected his surfer look, while I perfected the art of beach bumming.
